I hate to say it, but you need to rework your shading style. The character is cool, and the design is distinctive, true enough but it's pillow shaded, and the contrast is weak at best.

I think this is because you used too many colors on such a small sprite. Excluding the outline, you should keep the minimum of colors on the fur to about 3. If you use selective outlining, then maybe 5 colors. Right now, you are using 6 colors (Including outline) without using the sel-out technique.

It just doesn't look like a clean sprite. In artwork, it's understandable. In sprites, just no.

Reduce the colors, increase contrast, take a crack at selective outlining the sprite. This is what I suggest anyways.

@Zir0N: would it work if he just destributed the shades through the sprite? Keeping everything else the same. Or did you just say that and I didn't understand?

@Alex the Dark: If he tries to redistribute the colors but keep the color count, it'll end up with a gradient look. There are just way too many colors on this small sprite. The smaller the sprite, the more color conservation that needs to be used.

Which is why I suggested using less colors, around 4 (including the outline). Note that I'm referring specifically to the fur on his head. It's less noticable elsewhere but should be given just as much attention.

@Zir0N: It was a Concept I was trying to give him. Since he's just Digital Data and not human I tried to him a jagged more metal look.
I didn't wanna give him my regular shading or he'd look to human to me. Nor' to much shine since he's not a robot

It was a test and I might try another style later on. SPrite wise Im still not sure just how I want digit to look and I dont have time to make 100% poses for him so My sonic bases are a filler.

@aqua the hedgie: It's Longer, I was thinging about shortening it up a bit when I was drawing it. Thats one reason why I keep the naked base.
